Sexmatch Roleplay Edition is a card game for two that works like a matching game with consequences: 81 cards carry an illustration and a word, you each hold seven, and on your turn you lay a card that matches the one on the table by picture or by word. Every match means the player performs the action on the card, right then. Eight wild cards let you hand a challenge to the other player at any moment. The first to empty their hand wins, though by then nobody is keeping score.
The Roleplay edition hands out characters and scenes: the cards say who you are for the next few minutes and what happens, and the matching decides when the scene changes. It is the funniest of the three and the one that needs the least shyness, because the card is doing the asking.
The game is printed in eight languages, English, Dutch, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian and Polish, so it plays in whichever you share. A guide card explains the rules in a minute, and the box is small enough for a weekend bag.
Rules of the game:
• To start the game, all 89 cards are shuffled and 7 cards are dealt to each player. The rest of the cards are left face-down on the table forming the draw deck. The oldest player starts by randomly drawing the first card. Next it is the turn of the other player, he must draw a card that matches in illustration or word with the card on the table. If you have no valid card, you must take a card from the deck of the draw and lose your turn.
• Each time a player rolls a card that matches the previous one on the table, he must perform the action that marks the card at that very moment.
Wild cards:
• There are also 8 wild cards, 2 of each type. The player who has a wild card in his hand can cast it during his turn at any time during the game. When a player rolls the wild card, the other player must perform the action indicated on the wild card at that time.
