Straps and restraints

Thigh straps, leg spreaders and position straps hold legs up, apart or back, for positions that otherwise need a partner to do the holding. They are cheap, they pack flat and they are the kind of aid that is quietly used every time.

Sex chairs, stools and shaped cushions hold the body for riding, kneeling and hands free positions and are the choice for people with a spare room and a habit. Inflatable versions are cheap and store small.

What to check

Weight limits, the surface it needs, the cover, which should come off and wash, and the size in the room. A wedge that lives on the bed should look like a pillow.
